Oh my, it is OCTOBER :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Oh my it is October" This is said in the most southern belle accent you can imagine. These days, my friends keep poking fun at me for these extremely southern things I say.  I do have a southern accent. It is becoming more and more obvious, especially when I hear videos of me swinging and yelling funny things. (I am obsessed with swinging. Stress reliever.) I also discovered that my list of friends that describe me as, "My most southern friend," is getting longer... At least I am proud to be southern.

Anyway, it's October 1st, actually cold/cool outside today, and in the 70's this week (I know, I know. This is just a tease here in Savannah.) This awesome month of October means, I have to tell someone happy birthday almost every day this month, including myself. It's basically my favorite month, and the last day of this month is my best friend on planet earth's birthday (That sweet, sweet Emily Anne with an "E" Green.)
AND we get to play dress up on the last day of this month!?!? How could you not LOVE this month?!!! I have been contemplating my costume this year...  I was Rachel Zoe last year. I'm not  don't sure what I'll be this year, but I will be dressed up- surprised? I know, I wouldn't be either.

Yesterday, I went over to my friend Chloe's home for coffee and to sketch some of my ideas for my Studio 3 midterms. While she being a studious student and doing her geography -armstrong kid ;) - I sketched. Well, after I got 8 out of my 30 sketches done (it's so time consuming and very conceptual- if you only knew-) We went to run some errands, and one of those was to get her preserves from World Market. Of course we perused the WHOLE store as well. While in the towel area I found an automatic refilling whoopi cushion hidden away. Let's just say my day was made because I finally fooled someone with it. I squeezed it and she was asking, "Lilly did you just fart???" I acted embarrassed and laughed so hard because she thought it was real. She was losing it because she thought I passed gas, and that I was laughing from embarrassment. Needless to say, I came up with the brilliant idea that when you laugh you fart more. So I squeezed a few more "farts" in while laughing. If I recall correctly, I managed to mumble, "I need a bathroom" hahaha. It would have been even funnier if she had farted from laughing and then found out I really didn't fart. That would have been priceless... I showed her after I let the laughter go on for a few minutes. It was a classic moment in my life. I pulled a prank. I think it was only because I had my desert flat boots on...

I'm sure I looked like this photo below when I was laughing so hard in world market... Holding my chest- barely breathing. Chloe made a claim the other night that she laughs louder now that she is friends with me... Uh oh. Me and my loud laughs ;)

Another moment of laughter:

Chloe laughing at my husband who was having- "Butt Cramps?!?"  We don't quite know what was going on with him, but it was funny. I'd say I perfectly captured this moment.

As I stated earlier, I think I only was able to pull a prank because I was wearing my desert boots. My desert flat boots, made my day magical yesterday. I had pink socks hanging out from them, which Sloany giggled at, but I felt like I could take on the world, or at least Savannah. Anyways, maybe I slept in them because I love them so much- I'll never tell you the truth on that one... Now I just need a version that has heels like below:

;) ;)

Sloans mom and sister are here for a short time. It is SO nice to see them and catch up. Summer is moving back to Tennessee, so we got them to drive through Savvy Sav on there way home. I love laughter, and there was a lot of that last night when they got here! Love me some family! :)

Speaking of family, my beautiful, sweet sister Lyndsey and my great, kind brother in law are now in Europe. Since they will be gone on my birthday, I have had serious conversations with them about what I want for my birthday. I want- a baby.  I want to be an aunt sillies- not my own anytime soon. As I hung up the phone from their departure, I said to them, "Make me a baby!!!" ;) I know it's God's timing and there choice, but I am just saying- I wouldn't mind one single bit not waiting anymore! Praying for their trip and safety. I am so, oh so,  jealous.

I have a lot of work to do this weekend... Instead I am blogging. It's a good procrastination though, just like cleaning is a good one too. I had to collect my thoughts from this eventful life I am living.

As for jewelry work. I have been working on a piece that I was commissioned to do. I have been rendering precise beads, pearls, stones ect. It's intense, but I am learning! :) I have been making a TON of resin pieces for studio three. I feel the work piling up- I feel midterms right around the corner- already?!!? I have a piece due Thursday. It is alternative materials, and this bird girl has been playing with BONES again! I'll post pictures when I'm done (if I like it.) I'm learning so much in History of jewelry. It is so interesting!!!!! I'm just happy. Also, I recommend anyone to listen to Mumford and sons when working on things. They help me render everyday these days...

Resin samples and the final earrings I turned in...

 Making omoo molds for resin!

Some (I have made even more!) of my resin samples I will eventually make jewelry from:

 Tortoise shell color- from coco!

So we had to make samples and turn in one piece of completed jewelry. I turned in these earrings:

Example of what they looked like just as resin:

Sloany's Scion car is sold- gone- poof! So he has been in frantic mode searching for a car. Praying to find him something soon. I'll update you sometime on how that one works out...

Lastly, my favorite meal is cranberry chicken. Last night we decided to create a cherry chicken. It was delectable:

I apologize for the length on this one. It's been a while!

Now I shall go work out and do my homework! Wish me luck!

Xoxo
